CSF History

In 1947, 3 brothers along with their father started a small retail shop trading and selling automotive parts. From then on their business grew into an automotive garage focusing on repairing radiators. With their engineering knowledge and rapidly growing business, the family opened up their own privately held radiator-manufacturing facility… Fast forward to 1975…the CSF brand, still family owned, was established. CSF was the 1st company to introduce import applications into the automotive aftermarket as vehicles imported by Honda, Datsun, and Toyota started to show up in domestic showrooms and on American roads. In 2009, the 4th generation of the CSF family joined the business. By this time CSF had established a cooling industry reputation as the market leader of import and popular domestic radiators & condensers selling over 650,000 units that year, even as the US economy was amidst a recession. To date CSF has sold over 35 million units. New niche and super specialized lines of cooling systems have been added and introduced by the company, including; commercial trucks, industrial & agricultural applications, marine coolers, intercoolers, pressure caps, and an innovative and industry changing Racing & High Performance Division. With our passion for cooling systems, and tubes and fins running through our veins; It was only a matter of time before CSF took its innovative ideas & leading technologies to the highest level. Facilities

CSF prides itself on using the most advanced technologies, machines, and experienced personnel to design, develop, and manufacture the worlds best cooling systems. With three privately owned manufacturing facilities, and a global cooling network formed over the past 65 years, CSF houses the industry’s best machines and brightest minds. Our engineering staff designs many of the machines in-house, giving CSF the innovative edge when introducing new technologies to the industry.

THE CSF PROCESS

Every CSF radiator is first designed and engineered by our expert technical engineering staff. A blueprint and detail drawings are then produced before any manufacturing ever takes place. Other radiator manufactures or small radiator shops miss this critical step that ensures proper fitment and the highest level of cooling efficiency. Radiator CAD Creation Our 6-stage tube mill is the basis of our advanced all-aluminum radiators. This mill carefully constructs our industry leading B-tubes Six Stage Tube Mill Automated core building machine was designed in-house by one of our expert engineers to remove labor and variability from the aluminum core building process. This allows the quality of our radiator cores to stay consistent and extremely high, resulting in a perfectly made core that is ultra efficient. Core Building Machine 6-axis CNC machines allow us to produce the strongest and most precise brackets, mountings, and fixtures in the industry. World’s first manufacturer to use this technology for cooling systems. CNC Machine Brand new all-aluminum brazing oven with advance temperature control and state-of-the-art digital monitoring system Brazing Oven Our newly established welding station is where all our Racing & High Performance radiators are essembled. Our “master” welders are trained every year by Isuzu at their main factory in Japan. Hand Welding State of the art wind tunnel to maximize air flow. Also utilized for salt spray and debris testing.
