Bimmerfest 2019 – 20th Year Anniversary

An Award Winning Finish for CSF

With May coming to an end and just a few weeks shy of summer, car shows and caravans are in full swing here in Southern California. CSF geared up and prepared for the 20th year anniversary of Bimmerfest, the largest private BMW gathering in the world. Hosted in our back yard, Auto Club Speedway that is less than 10 minutes away from our headquarters. This is one of the biggest events of the year that we attend considering BMW is our strongest market. Check out our Bimmerfest 2018 recap if you missed it last year. And against the odds, Southern California decided it wanted to show chances of rain in the forecast for the big weekend. Not only was there Bimmerfest to look forward to, but it was also Memorial Day weekend! We had our ponchos on stand-by, set our alarm clocks for the big day and were ready to kick-off the weekend with a bang!

Gearhead Tuning’s New Air-to-Air bar/plate intercooler for the Ford Taurus SHO/Flex Ecoboost.

As more automotive enthusiasts grow older, start families, and begin to need more room in their vehicle, their 2/4 door sport compact vehicles start to become less practical and more of an old memory. The Ford Taurus SHO and Flex Ecoboost have been a proper upgrade that checks all the boxes when looking to still have fun driving a full-sized sedan or small SUV while being an efficient people mover. The twin-turbo V6 in the Ecoboost cannot help but put smiles across passengers faces compared to the standard naturally aspirated V6 with almost 100 HP less. Luckily for the enthusiasts that still prefer a low center of gravity and have no use for extra space and added weight. Ford packed the same 355 hp twin turbo motor to continue in the legacy of the Super High Output (SHO) Ford Taurus (Winning 2010 ESQUIRE’S INAUGURAL “CAR OF THE YEAR” FOR MEN TO DRIVE, EVERYDAY!) With the latest fourth-generation equipped with all-wheel drive, it brings the SHO name back like a phoenix from the ashes, on to winding roads and fun slippery surfaces.

Motovicity Distribution’s 2nd Annual Never Lift Half-Mile

CSF claims the fastest German car in the West

The time of the year has come, the last weekend of April 2019. The hot spring sun steams up the farm land of Coalinga California, hosting Motovicity Distribution’s 2nd annual Never Lift Half-Mile race ran by Shift S3ctor. Held at he Municipal Airport of Coalinga, providing 2,640 feet of clean, paved airstrip runway for drivers to go side by side and put it all on the line in a half-mile race for the highest trap speed. Each competing driver had a chance to win a piece of the $38,500 in total prize money over the entire weekend. This event attracted quite a number of cars “flying” over 200+ MPH to earn bragging rights and some dough. CSF continued to be a supporting vendor and sponsor of the event as Motovicity Distribution is one of CSF’s largest distributor’s. With supporting previous events through the years, CSF is glad the relationship can help grow these types of grass-roots motorsports by not only attending as a vendor, but by bringing three cars to compete. As the race weekend approached, the CSF gang packed the sun block, locked & loaded the racecars in the trailers and joined in on the fun.

CSFs New High-Performance Dual-Pass Universal Heat Exchanger

The ultimate cooling solution for liquid-to-air applications

CSF’s NEW Dual Pass (Cross-flow) Universal Heat Exchanger (CSF#8030)

More and more fabricators and vehicle builders are opting to add horsepower through liquid-to-air intercoolers (charge coolers). Upgrading from the common and traditional air-to-air front mount intercooler system. In a liquid-to-air intercooler system, the air is cooled by a liquid, typically water. These systems require a supplemental heat exchanger (i.e. radiator) to cool the liquid running through the intercooler. These types of heat exchangers are usually front mounted and/or accessible to fresh-air-flow.

Marc’s “Street Legal” Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo

It’s been a good year since attending a car event in California and decided to head to the CSF Players show, I was living out of state and hadn’t seen my friend Marc (@pterodactyltactics) in a while, nor had I seen his newest build. When I showed up to the event, I immediately went straight to his car and could not believe my eyes; the build was PERFECT. The Grigio Telesto paint that Marc seems to have on all of his vehicles, the brushed wheels, the bright brakes. You could instantly tell this was one of Marc’s builds, and you once you laid eyes on it you couldn’t stop looking.
