Representing the red and white flag of Canada at the 2014 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is 34-year-old professional racing car driver Dov Aronoff and the NV Auto team. As the 92nd running of this motorsport spectacular, Aronoff and NV Auto have been invited to compete at this international racing event.
Dov Aronoff is an experienced driver originally from Toronto, Canada. Having started his racing career at a young age, Aronoff began with drag racing in a Honda (front-wheel drive) race car. Shortly after, the career path leads to a move into rally racing as a service technician at the X-Games followed by a three-year stint in the Canadian Rally Championship (CRC). From straight-line driving to drifting through multi-terrain, Aronoff quickly found his calling with time attack – in particular, the Canadian Sport Compact Series (CSCS). By 2011, Aronoff had been crowned series champion and continue to stake a claim at racetracks across Ontario, setting track lap records.
The vehicle that will be piloted by Aronoff and supported by the NV Auto team is that of Canada’s fastest time attack Subaru – a 1996 Impreza – that has been highly modified. Current specifications include a 2.0-liter STI engine swap from the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM), Borg Warner turbochargers, and tuned by Diebold Autosport.
Every driver shares the dream to race at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, but only a select few are ever able to achieve such a feat. Other than racing experience, a competitive racecar, and strong technical service team backing Aronoff, nothing would be possible without the continued support from sponsors. Born in Toronto and currently residing in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Dov Aronoff is a 34 year old successful automotive technician, General Manager of NV Auto, and champion race car driver. Early in his driving career Aronoff began with drag racing and soon followed with rally racing in the Canadian Rally Championship for three years. Always honing his skill, Aronoff then entered the time attack racing style in the Canadian Sport Compact Series and won the 2011 series championship.
