It’s SEMA crunch time and I’m somewhat relieved that we are not building a car this year. Building the #CSFEVOX for SEMA 2017 was definitely a once in a lifetime experience, but very stressful, time consuming and costly. To some, it’s an annual tradition and for those who build a car each year, hat’s off to you!
Each year The SEMA Show continues to evolve and it’s amazing to see who raises the standards with their builds. As our brand continues to grow, so does our presence, not only at SEMA, but globally. Here’s a sneak peak of some SEMA cars COOLED by CSF.
One of many builds that I’m looking forward to is CA Tuned’s BMW “GRAPE” E30. Our friends at CA Tuned never fails to impress everyone with their classic restomod BMW builds. Photos never really do their builds any justice and I’ve been fortunate to see several builds in person. All the small details would be unseen for the untrained eye, but when you really look at all the work Igor and his guys put into each build, you’ll realize their work is top notch.
The Grape E30 is kept cool by one of our most popular BMW Radiators (CSF #3054)
Then there are those builds that are kept on the down low and revealed during SEMA. Here is a sneak peak of a few builds COOLED by CSF that will be debuting at the show:
Full Carbon 240Z Race Car located in the Toyo Tire Treadpass.
Ryan Hoegner from Eibach is fully restoring a Porsche 911 SC and will be located in the Eibach booth in Central Hall. His Porsche will be featuring our Universal Dual-Pass Oil Cooler w/ Direct Fitment for Porsche 911 center front oil cooler (RS Style). We recently came out with a new line of Universal Oil Coolers (4 different sizes) that can be used on various platforms.
Steve from Euroklasse is building a BMW Z4 GT3 conversion which is also featured on SEMA’s Battle of the Builders. Steve used a diverse combination of CSF coolers including a Universal Dual-Pass Oil Cooler (CSF #8110), BMW Z4 Radiator (CSF #7046) and a custom fabricated intercooler using a CSF heavy duty bar & plate intercooler core (CSF #8048)
JP Euro and Kream Developments have teamed up on a Nissan R35 GTR that will be located at the Rohana Wheels booth. This GTR is cooled by our R35 GTR radiator (CSF #7041) along with a high performance GTR Oil Cooler made exclusively for Top Speed Motorsports (CSF #8097)!
Here we have a Pandem VW R32 transplanted Race Car displayed at the Liqui Moly booth in Central Hall. This unique set up includes a one-off liquid-to-air intercooler made by Sheepey Race using one of our new liquid-to-air intercooler cores It is also using a Universal Oil Cooler (CSF #8110) as a heat exchanger (yes, you read that right) and a Universal Tuck Radiator (CSF #8049) made exclusively for Rywire.
This beautiful Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO Squadra Corse TWIN TURBO presented by LTMW, Sheepey Race, BBS Wheels and CSF will be displayed at the BBS Wheels booth in Upper South Hall and is a MUST SEE! Sheepey Race is becoming well known for building twin turbo kits for exotics and as their exclusive cooling supplier, each twin turbo kit is built using our new line of high performance liquid-to-air intercooler cores.
StanceWorks will be showcasing a 1931 Supercharged Coyote Ford Model A project. This will be displayed at the H&R Springs booth in Central Hall. This classic build is being cooled by modern technology. It is outfitted with a Universal Tuck Radiator (CSF #8024) made exclusively for Rywire, as a supercharger heat exchanger. This is mounted behind the grill vertically placed for maximum wind velocity. It is also using our new Dual-Fluid Oil Cooler (CSF #8026) mounted in the rear to cool the engine and trans oil.
R35 Hundred’s world debut of a R35 GTR inaugural concept hosting an INDY 500/Daytona Prototype engine platform. This unique build will be displayed at the Seibon Booth in Central Hall. This beast is also cooled by our R35 GTR radiator (CSF #7041) along with a high performance GTR Oil Cooler made exclusively for Top Speed Motorsports (CSF #8097).
We will also be bringing out our BMW F10 M5 that was recently featured on SpeedHunters and a few magazines across the pond including Performance BMW Magazine. The #CSFM5 was the inspiration of the development of our BMW F1X M5/M6 Twin Charge-Air-Cooler Set (CSF #8109) The size of the CSF charge-air-cooler cores alone are 28% larger than the OEM units. These coolers also include additional E85/methane injection ports built into the cast end tank design for maximum power potential.
This time last year we were on the home stretch in getting the Evo done. We’re due for an update on the rEVOlutionary Build series, and I promise to get some content up soon. Here’s a brief but HUGE update on the #CSFEVOX. Lately, it’s been featured on 3 magazine covers including SuperStreet. It was also featured on Hoonigan’s Build Biology Series!
