Jackson Racing FK8 Honda Civic Type R High-Performance All-Aluminum Radiator

While out of the box, the FK8 CTR is an incredibly well engineered vehicle, it still has its shortcomings. The factory cooling system is more than capable of keeping up with spirited driving and a daily commute. However, it starts to show its limitations when pushed hard on the track or when tuning is involved. From a quick flash tune to full big turbo builds, better cooling will always be beneficial.

The first radiator CSF developed for the FK8 was a motorsport/competition version designed in collaboration with HPD, now Honda Racing Corporation (HRC). However, this design required the removal of the A/C system and was used primarily on the FK8 Type R TC and TCR Factory Racecars.

CSF's industry / R&D partners at Jackson Racing wanted to offer a radiator with the best possible cooling performance but retained the factory A/C system. The result is the largest and highest performance drop-in fit radiator on the market for the FK8.

Jackson Racing (by CSF) vs OEM

The original OE radiator from Honda uses plastic tanks with a single row aluminum core. While this is generally accepted as good quality and durable, it is not the best option for high horsepower builds and hard driving. Turbo cars get hot, and the K20C1 is no exception. Anything you can do to help keep temperatures in check will improve longevity of your motor and components.

The Jackson Racing Radiator features a larger 2-Row 42mm aluminum core which greatly increases the core volume compared to the OE 27mm core. CSF's Exclusive B-Tube Technology increases the heat transfer by approximately 15% over regular oval welded tubes. In addition, the super-efficient multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for the best possible performance. Overall, testing has revealed that the CSF radiator decreases engine coolant temperatures by 6-8% compared to the factory radiator.

Optional Fan Shroud Kit

If you are in need of even more cooling performance, Jackson Racing offers an optional Fan + Shroud upgrade. This kit increases the CFM of air moved over the radiator by 30% compared to OEM with the use of a 12” SPAL High Output Fan.
