With the FF and F12 reaching the 10-15 year old mark, many are reaching the age where many major components need to be replaced. So it should come as no surprise that many owners are finding themselves needing to replace their original factory radiator.

With factory replacement radiators costing well over $1200 USD, it is not surprising many owners and shops are looking for high quality alternatives that will outperform and outlast the OE units. CSF teamed up with Hollywood Mechanic to design a High-Performance Radiator that fits the FF, GTC4Lusso, F12, 812, and Monza.

Design & Engineering

When initially designing the radiator, there were several key features that CSF knew were important to the Ferrari community: OEM Fit & Finish, Increased performance, improved reliability, and better serviceability.

CSF vs OEM

The original FF, GTC4Lusso, F12, 812, and Monza radiators from Ferrari feature aluminum cores crimped onto plastic end tanks. While generally accepted as good quality and durable, this design is significantly weaker than the all-aluminum TIG welded design of the CSF Radiators.

The CSF Advantage

The CSF radiators feature the latest 5mm multi-louvered fins. These fins significantly increase the heat exchange surface area improving overall cooling efficiency and recovery while still maintaining good airflow. Each core is 28% larger than the original FF/GTC4Lusso Radiator and 14% larger than the F12 / 812 / Monza Radiator. This core volume difference comes from the thicker 2-Row 42mm aluminum core. This both increases the fluid capacity of the radiator, and improves the core's ability to dissipate heat. The use of CSF's 5mm fins also allowed for an additional cooling tube and fin row.

CSF's Exclusive B-Tube Technology increases the heat transfer by approximately 15% over regular oval welded tubes. Combined with the new 5mm fins, heat transfer is increased by up to 25% overall. In addition, the super-efficient multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for the best possible performance.

All Aluminum Construction

The combination of TIG-Welded 100% All Aluminum construction increases the overall strength of the radiator. This improves durability and longevity so you can be confident it will hold up to hard driving conditions. Additionally, the satin black finish gives the radiator a clean OEM look and both radiators are a true Plug-and-Play "Drop-in Fit" application.

Like most plastic OE aluminum radiators, the original units are prone to a swath of other issues due to plastic deterioration over time. The plastic from the tanks and hose fittings start to break down after a few years and the bond to the cores usually begins to fail around 10-12 years.

Just performing the yearly fouling check called for by Ferrari causes the plastic inlet and outlet necks to flake off and stick to the radiator hoses. This compromises the seal and introduces foreign bodies into the cooling system. This inspection along with the 4 year service interval for a coolant flush and fill are extremely important to the health of the cooling system.

Allowing for fouling to build up can cause water pump leaks and failures which is an extremely expensive repair. Having a radiator that doesn't deteriorate or introduce more fowling into the system when serviced or inspected offers a huge improvement in overall reliability of your Ferrari.

5mm Core Upgrade

CSF always seeks to offer the ultimate cooling solution. The latest 5mm fin technology was introduced at the end of 2023 offers even more heat transfer area and thermal efficiency than CSF's tried and true 6.5mm fins. Ferrari owners are known to push their cars hard and CSF is confident this radiator is ready to take on the most demanding conditions in the world.

Plug and Play Installation

CSF designed these Radiators to easily replace the OEM unit. The Plug-and-Play "Drop-in Fit" installation means all the factory shrouds and brackets will line up and bolt on perfectly. This includes the Engine Oil Cooler on the left-hand side as well as the A/C Condenser on the front.
