The C6 ZR1 was the first GM muscle car to come from the factory with forced induction. A supercharger allows for substantial performance gains with a higher boost pulley and simple tuning. However, that increase in boost generates a lot more heat. So much so that the factory intercooler and heat exchanger have a hard time keeping up and the engineers at DMS needed a solution. Determining that the intercooler's heat exchanger was the main culprit in the experienced heat soak and high Intake Air Temperatures (IATs), they came to CSF for a solution.
CSF and DMS engineered the #8078 as a "Direct Bolt-In" replacement unit for an easy and straightforward installation. This heat exchanger offers a 100% increase in cooling efficiency over the factory unit. The heat exchanger not only allows for increased performance but also increase the longevity of your ZR1's LS9 engine.
