This is the Ultimate High-Performance All-Aluminum Heat Exchanger for the Mercedes Benz AMG 4.0L V8 bi-turbo engine. This AMG V8 utilizes a charge air cooler system - a water circuit (which flows through a pump into the charge coolers) and a heat exchanger (which uses the water to cool the compressed air).
CSF's High-Performance Heat Exchanger is larger and cools the water more efficiently than the OEM plastic/aluminum unit. This helps deliver cooler and denser air through the charge air cooling system increasing power capabilities. In testing, Regal Autosport saw significant performance improvements consisting of up to a 68% reduction in Intake Air Temperatures (IATs) and a 400% improvement in heat soak reduction when compared to stock.

Design & Engineering
CSF's All-Aluminum High-Performance Heat Exchanger is larger and cools the water more efficiently than the OEM plastic/aluminum unit thus helping deliver cooler and denser air through the charge air cooling system increasing power capabilities. In its recent testing, Regal Autosport saw significant performance improvements consisting of up to a 68% reduction in IATs (intake air temperatures) and a 400% improvement in heat soak reduction when compared to stock.
CSF vs OEM
The TIG welded aluminum tanks are much larger than the OE plastic tanks offering superior strength and fluid volume. A larger 2-row 42mm core increases cooling efficiency and capacity. This high efficiency core uses CSF's Exclusive B-Tube Technology, maximizing airflow and heat dissipation. CSF's multi-louvered fins significantly increase the heat exchange surface area improving overall cooling efficiency and recovery while maintaining proper airflow.

100% All-Aluminum construction ensures the best performance and durability. The mounting tabs and brackets are much stronger and more durable than the OE plastic design. In addition, the Heat Exchanger also features an integrated bolt on rock guard to keep the cooler safe. CSF knows the kind of punishment the front of a car can take on or off the track. The wrong bit of debris flying through the front grille can quickly punch a hole in a cooler. Now you can feel more confident that your cooling system is safer from debris.
Testing
In independent testing at Regal Autosport, they found that the Heat Exchanger can reduce charge air temperatures by as much as 20 degrees at their peak and improve resistance to heat-soak by 4 times when compared to the stock heat exchanger.
Testing show a 68% reduction in IATs (intake air temperatures) and a 400% improvement in heat soak compared to the factory heat exchanger (low temp radiator).
