FIGS Engineering initially looked at an integrated cooling upgrade solution to complement their Side-Ducted Oil Cooler but the technology and market just seemed to not quite be there yet. IS F's had been around long enough to need replacements and with other solutions available, they decided to hold off on things for a while to let the market catch up. That time is now. FIGS teamed up with CSF Race to bring out a big upgrade to the OE setup, while still maintaining the standard transmission coupling cooler/preheater and stepping up the core design to a 5mm fin with high-efficiency B-core tech to increase efficiency up to 15%. This is a huge savings in implementation over a secondary trans cooler since the primary system cooler is still tied to the main radiator. While a separate trans cooler can still be used, this will lessen the size of that core and make the overall operating temperatures much more responsive to cooling recovery and reduce heat soak overall from cascading coolers.

Design & Engineering

This competition radiator features CSF's 5mm fin design and Exclusive B-Tube Technology, increasing heat transfer by 15% compared to conventional radiators. The multi-louvered fins increase the effective surface area. The TIG-Welded 100% All Aluminum construction increases the overall strength of the radiator. This improves durability and longevity so you can be confident it will hold up to hard driving conditions. The CSF radiator mounts in the factory location and requires no modifications or cutting.

The integrated transmission cooler is the first of its kind in an all-aluminum radiator. Rather than relying on a large secondary transmission oil cooler, this unit preheats and couples transmission fluid via the main cooling loop. This helps reduce overall heat soak and improves temperature recovery times. The result is a more responsive cooling package that simplifies plumbing and makes efficient use of space.

FIGS & CSF designed the radiator to easily replace the OEM unit and includes all connections and mounts for the AC-condenser and OE fan shroud. The Plug-and-Play "Drop-in Fit" installation is simple and straightforward and greatly improves the reliability and longevity of your engine and transmission. To accommodate model-year variations, it uses a step-nipple design to support differing hose diameters, and even accounts for the larger overflow fitting on 2010 models. For serviceability, the radiator includes a hex-style drain plug and a screw-in vent plug, making bleeding and maintenance more convenient.
