
Griffin Motorsports' goal when developing their Stage.III Super Charger Cooling System was simple; Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the heat exchanger system while utilizing the OEM pump. They achieved this by carefully finding and eliminating all major restrictions, as well as adding and upgrading many components to improve volume, heat soak resistance and overall efficiency.
Knowing that GMS wanted their kit to look as good as it performed, it was critical to get the part combination perfect. After testing several combinations and hose configurations they settled on what you see now. A detailed kit that not only adds that upgraded richer look under the hood, but also unlocked a 50% increase in HX coolant flow bumping the test car up to 5.1GPM with the OEM pump.
System Benefits:

What You will need to provide:
- Patience and attention to detail for installation... or, someone like that, who you trust with your beloved, adorned, magnificent, earth shaking, alarm sounding Camaro ZL1 or SS.
- Cut-off wheel or large cable cutters in order to cut your braided lines to fit.
- Additional connectors, hoses and fittings may be needed depending on your existing system design or preferred routing path. Email me if you have any other needs or questions about path design.
- More 50/50 coolant. Some nice hose pinch clamps are not required, but a good addition for peace of mind.
- Note; as you can see from the photos we have re-purposed the passenger side AUX cooler for the HX system. This is only recommended if you have the GMS Stage.I or Stage.II Oil Cooler which heavily reduces the load on the engine coolant system, allowing you to remove the AUX cooler with no negative impacts to cooling effectiveness.
Design & Engineering
DMS High-Performance Heat Exchanger
The Stage.II solution starts with the most popular front HX on the market for the 6th gen Camaro. CSF teamed up with DMS to offer a huge upgrade for the Camaro ZL1 and CTS-V. This Heat Exchanger is the largest upgrade possible for both vehicles and offers a massive increase in core size and fluid volume. At more than 2 times the size of the factory heat exchanger, the DMS cooler greatly reduces the ZL1/CTS-V's heat soak issues.
GMS Auxiliary Radiators
GMS worked closely with the team at CSF to make some improvements to our existing #8207 design by removing the fixed GM quick connect fittings in favor of a pair of 10 ORB female bosses which gives you the flexibility to run the OEM 5/8" quick connects (included in the box), push lock or AN fittings of your choice. GMS also changed the finish so all three units match in color and provide uniform aesthetics as well as proven cooling results. The ORB bungs also allow you to remove the OEM 5/8" hose / fittings and upgrade to 3/4" between the AUX and Main HX by simply installing a 10 ORB to 12 AN adapter.
Note: In an effort to maximize the size of these units, cutting the upper bracket in one corner may be needed on some cars. Additionally, modifications will be needed for the 3/4" option depending on the fittings and preferred hose routing. This effort to upgrade to 3/4" fittings and hoses yielded us a 20% increase in flow using the factory pump!!!
DMS Fender Tank
The Dedicated Motorsports coolant expansion tank for the 2017-2024 Camaro ZL1 adds 2 gallons of additional coolant capacity. This additional volume will not only help keep intake air temps lower but it will also allow air to escape the system making the system more efficient overall. This tank also aids in filling/bleeding the system with the addition of a 1.5" Filler cap and the included funnel that aids in filling the tank through the fender opening. This is perfect for cars with Magnuson superchargers and no coolant fill port.
The DMS fender tank is constructed out of durable .125" aluminum, expertly tig welded in house at DMS and powdered coated in a satin black finish. It features -12 ORB inlet/outlet barbs with -12an ORB fittings allowing you to run 3/4" hose or upgrade to AN lines and fitting. The GMS Kit includes a pair of pre-made -12an feed and return lines along with all hardware for trouble free installation.
GMS High Flow Impact Bar
Rounding out the parts list is our signature High Flow Impact Bar which not only provides a clear view of your new massive DMS heat exchanger for a clear aesthetic improvement, but also the improvement in airflow.
Adding to this innovative patent pending design is a pair of custom two-piece CNC'd aluminum air deflectors that help prevent air from trapping at the bolt flanges. Rather, they channel to either the main or auxiliary coolers.
Outfitted with a heavy duty front tow hook coupler and treated to a matte black powder coated finish, this product was designed to offer a turn-key solution to improve a poorly designed OEM part. This product ships with installation instructions and hardware. Although this product was literally designed in the garage, this 3D modeled assembly is fabricated using precision laser cut parts for a professional fit. Note: This package ships in (3) separate boxes.
Edelbrock Coolant Reservoir with pressure cap & brackets
Although the DMS fender tank allows for system filling, and easy bleeding due to the "high point" of the system factor, it does not provide a pressure cap, and does not allow for easy pump priming. Which is why GMS added a small Edelbrock coolant reservoir to the system and mounted it in a way that allows for easy pump priming. The GMS kit places the reservoir between the ECU and engine coolant tank using a custom bracket that bolts to the top of the OEM PCV box.
Hoses, Fittings, and Adapters
This kit includes all of the various fittings, hoses, and fitting adapters you will need to install the kit. GMS vs OEM
Not only are all these parts more efficient and more durable than OEM but combined with the 2 gallon fender tank this kit holds approximately 715% more fluid than the OEM Heat Exchanger and Auxiliary Radiators. The stage 2 system increases the overall fluid volume from 3 quarts to 12.25 quarts (or ~3 gallons). This greatly reduces heat soak and can keep your charge air system running optimally in almost any situation.
