Design & Engineering

To design the system for the 992 911, CSF leveraged its strategic partnerships and relationships with world class tuners, builders, and race teams to offer the best possible cooling systems. Working with the companies like M-Engineering, ES Motor, and Pacific German give CSF great insight to the strength and weakness of these modern Porsches as well as real world feedback and testing of new products.

Upgraded radiators help eliminate the concern of overheating. These advanced designs feature larger 2-Row, 42mm aluminum cores which increase the fluid capacity of the radiators, and greatly improves heat dissipation. Paired with CSF's Exclusive B-Tube Technology, heat transfer is increased by 20-25%. In addition, the new ultra-efficient 5mm multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for the best possible performance. The result is the best possible thermal management under all driving conditions.

CSF vs OEM

The original OE radiators from Porsche are plastic tanks with single row aluminum cores. While this is the most common OE radiator design and generally acceptable, there is always room for improvement. To compound the factory cooling system limitation, Porsche decided to forgo the center radiator on most models (see fitment notes) except the Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, and 992.2 GTS (Hybrid). This greatly limits the thermal capacity of the system and many owners report seeing high engine temperatures on track with some overheating after a few laps.

The CSF Advantage

The CSF radiators feature the latest 5mm multi-louvered fins. These fins significantly increase the heat exchange surface area improving overall cooling efficiency and recovery while still maintaining good airflow. The core is much larger than the factory featuring 2-Row 42mm aluminum core. This both increases the fluid capacity of the radiator, and improves the cores ability to dissipate heat. CSF's Exclusive B-Tube Technology increases the heat transfer by approximately 15% over regular oval welded tubes. Combined with the new 5mm fins, heat transfer is increased by up to 25% overall. In addition, the super-efficient multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for the best possible performance.

The TIG-Welded 100% All Aluminum construction increases the overall strength of the radiator. This improves durability and longevity so you can be confident it will hold up to hard driving conditions. The CSF radiator mounts in the factory location and requires no modifications or cutting.

5mm Core Upgrade

CSF always seeks to offer the ultimate cooling solution. The latest 5mm fin technology was introduced at the end of 2023 offers even more heat transfer area and thermal efficiency than CSF's tried and true 6.5mm fins. Porsche owners are known to push their cars hard and CSF is confident this radiator is ready to take on the most demanding conditions in the world.

Plug and Play Installation

CSF designed these Radiators to easily replace the OEM units. The Plug-and-Play "Drop-in Fit" installation should only take 2-3 hours and greatly improves the performance and the longevity of your engine.


Make it a package

CSF recommends upgrading all your radiators at once for the best possible cooling performance and most cost effective installation. Please note that not all 3.0 Turbo Models came with a center radiator but it can be added.

Center Radiator Conversion/Addition

If your 992 911 did not come equipped with a center radiator, it is fairly simple and straight forward to add one on. This can be done using all OEM Porsche Parts to fit the CSF #7243 Center Radiator. Please see the fitment notes in the CSF #7243 Listing for details on how to add a center radiator to your 992.
