The beginning of the year is a great time for a fresh start and new experiences. CSF takes that motto to heart, and on the first Saturday of 2014, we attended the Lamborghini Newport Beach Supercar show in our own backyard.
I’ve been fortunate enough to live in Newport Beach since I was 13 years old, so seeing exotic cars is something that I’m used to. However, seeing so many of them in the same place is always a treat. It was pretty hard to not drool all over these $250,000+ supercars.
This black Lamborghini Murcielago was sitting pretty in its “hard parked” stance with the iconic Lambo doors open to catch a good look at the interior. Seeing these cars “up close and personal” is a significant change versus seeing them roaring past you on the roads.
There is something about the Murcielago circular wheels that I just love, I don’t know what it is, but the typically gaudy looking design goes great with the Lambo. So hard top or Spyder – What’s your choice?
I couldn’t believe the number of cars in attendance, and the quality of these “hypercars” that showed up. Although this event was at a Lamborghini dealership it did not discriminate as other exotics were gladly invited to participate. The owner of the dealership actually owns the Ferrari and Mclaren dealerships in Newport Beach as well. More on this later in the story.
Lamborghini Newport Beach Supercar Show: Car of the Show
Our favorite car of the show was none other than this customized red Lamborghini Gallardo, Super Trofeo edition. This a serious track monster, and is what CSF is looking at developing cooling systems for next. Working with premiere tuning houses like GMG, we’re able to get an inside look at these cars, and help make them run cooler for the most optimal performance levels possible.
Being who we are, and our passion for the inside scoop and engineering of these vehicles, we got a private tour from Troy, one of the head service advisers at Lamborghini Newport Beach. He gave us the inside-look at their facility, which is actually the service center for Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Mclaren of Newport Beach. This is where we got our mind blown!
There had to be at least 20 different cars back here worth over $5,000,000 in value. We couldn’t get enough of this ultra rare gold Lamborghini Diablo. We were amazed by how clean, striking, and the presence of this super car was. To top it off it had a decal of a slogan “I’m not speeding, I’m qualifying” above the driver headlight!
To top it off we caught this classic red Lamborghini Countache on the way out. It’s crazy to see this car now, especially when you line it up against modern versions. Some how it actually looks more futuristic in its vintage impression than some of the new models of Lamborghini.
What do you think of the classic Lambo style?
We’ll leave you with a photo (although not the best quality) of the most expensive vehicle at the dealership, which was placed inside. This brand new 2014 bright orange Aventador Spyder was priced at over $600,000. Start saving your pennies folks!
